2. Legal information, not legal advice

ELS provides legal information, not legal advice. ELS is not a law firm, and nothing on this site, in our tools or in our documents creates an attorney-client relationship. Our documents are drafted by attorneys, but they are templates. They are not tailored to your circumstances. You are responsible for deciding whether a document suits your situation, and for adapting it. For advice on a specific matter, consult a qualified attorney.

3. Our tools

The Legal Health Check and Protection Score give general information based on the answers you provide. They are not a legal opinion, an audit or a review of any contract, and they do not guarantee that your business or contracts comply with any law. Their output is only as good as the answers you give.

4. Orders and payment

Prices are in South African rand and are shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is processed securely by Payfast. Your order is complete when payment is confirmed. We may cancel an order and refund you if a pricing or availability error occurred.

5. Delivery

Documents are delivered digitally. Once payment is confirmed, download links appear on your order confirmation page and in your confirmation email. Links expire 7 days after purchase, so please download and save your documents within that time. If a link fails or expires, email hello@everydaylegalsolutions.co.za and we will help.

6. Licence to use our documents

When you buy a document, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use and adapt it for your own business or personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, publish or share the documents, or use them to build a competing product or service.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Our documents are digital content, supplied as soon as payment is confirmed. If something is wrong with your order, for example a document is defective or doesn’t arrive, email hello@everydaylegalsolutions.co.za and we will put it right. Refund requests are handled individually.

Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Protection Act or the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.

8. Intellectual property

The site, tools, documents and all related content are owned by or licensed to ELS and protected by copyright. Except for the licence in clause 6, nothing gives you ownership of, or rights in, our intellectual property.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, ELS is not liable for loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, our site, tools or documents, including loss resulting from a document not suiting your circumstances. This clause does not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act.

10. Your information

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one in force when you placed it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
