The Basic Conditions of Employment Act requires employers to give employees written particulars of their employment, covering things like remuneration, hours of work and leave. A contract that leaves these out, contradicts the law, or was written for a different kind of worker doesn’t protect you. It can also make an ordinary dispute harder to defend.
